Two-facility organization to deploy electronic forms management & automation software to get barcoded e-forms into EHRs in MEDITECH Magic and Client Server
Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is committed to advancing patient care through state-of-the-art technology. Administrators realized that by applying this philosophy to forms management would benefit patients, staff and add value to its MEDITECH systems, and selected Access Intelligent Forms Suite (IFS) to replace costly and inefficient pre-printed paper forms.
Access IFS’s proven integration with MEDITECH Magic and Client Server will automatically pre-fill registration/admissions packets and clinical forms with patient data. By barcoding these forms, Access IFS will facilitate auto-indexing with electronic health records (EHRs) via the MEDITECH Scanning and Archiving (SCA) system ECHN will soon deploy.
Access IFS enables facilities like ECHN to avoid time-consuming and error-prone labeling and manual data entry that is typically required with pre-printed forms.

In addition, Access Universal Document Portal (UDP) will enable ECHN to capture output from clinical systems and medical devices, standardize it and interface it paperlessly into EHRs through MEDITECH SCA.
