Springs Memorial Hospital Uses Access Check Printing System to Save Time & Money in AP & Payroll

11/23/2010 10:25:26 AM

Replacing pre-printed checks with enterprise print solution from world’s leading electronic forms (eforms) provider helps leading South Carolina facility achieve new efficiency

Administrators at Springs Memorial Hospital, located in Lancaster, SC, realized that using pre-printed stock to print accounts payable (AP) and payroll was costing too much time and money, and offered no easy way to make changes to checks.

To overcome these challenges, Springs Memorial selected Access Check Printing System (CPS), part of the healthcare-industry leading Access Enterprise Forms Management (EFM) suite.

“We looked into using an ELF chip, but that would’ve just limited us to one printer,” said Carleen Dearinger, Controller at Springs Memorial. “Using Access Check Printing System instead, with our MICR cartridge, we can easily print checks on another machine if our main printer needs repair.”

Pre-printed check stock is costly, particularly when your organization is using it for AP and payroll. Dearinger is glad that Access CPS has eliminated this impact on the budget at Springs Memorial.

“Access Check Printing System delivers big cost savings because we’ve eliminated pre-printed check stock,” she said. “It has also increased productivity because we no longer have to get checks manually approved and signed – they print with the required signatures.”

Springs Memorial also plans to use Access CPS for payroll at its clinic corporation.
